Prof. Alan Willner, Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC) and the chair of the OSA (Optical Society of America), visited the JCT Applied Physics / Electro-Optics Engineering Department and met with Dr. Avi Karsenty, its new chair (2014-2018). During an intensive day of meetings, lectures, and visits, Dr. Karsenty toured the student labs with Prof. Willner, where he viewed the newly-upgraded equipment, and briefed him on other successful initiatives to elevate the department.
